Even though the surgical approaches offered by Dr. Murphy are very effective at improving one's appearance, radiant skin remains the foundation of beauty. Never before have there have been more options available to the patient to improve the quality of their skin. The plethora of choices has gotten to the point where decisions are difficult. Under the supervision of Dr. Murphy, Beth Murphy directs the medical skincare program in our office. Proven Skin Care
We offer patients proven regimens with prescription-grade products that improve the quality and texture of the skin. Pigmentary irregularities and fine lines fade away as the radiance of the skin emerges. We utilize various product lines such as Obagi, Cellex-C, SkinMedica and Therapon, each of which brings particular advantages to patients based on the components incorporated into each product. We are careful to offer products with ingredients that have been clinically proven to bring results, such as Retin-A, vitamin C, hydroquinone, glycolic and lactic acids, salicylic acid and human based growth factors. Each patient is offered a customized individual regimen to meet their specific needs. Of course, the characteristics of the skin of each patient are carefully weighed in the decision making process.
Regimen Designed for Your Needs
The prescribed home regimen is frequently combined with office based procedures to optimize improvement, exfoliating superficial layers of the skin and stimulating the dermis to regenerate collagen and re-organize elastin. Microlaser peels, microdermabrasion and various "lunchtime" peels are offered, based on the requirements and desires of each patient.
Effective Therapies
Photolight-type BBL (broadband light) therapies are available to effectively treat vascular or pigmentary problems with minimal recovery. Telangiectasias (broken blood vessels), blemishes, rosacea, acne, scars, spider veins and various vascular lesions are effectively treated with these modalities. Laser hair removal has also proven to be a very popular procedure.
