Neck Lift Denver

Over the years many patients become unhappy with laxity of neck structures or fullness in the neck area. There are various procedures designed to re-contour the neck. Improvement in the contour can be achieved through typically removing excess fat, tightening the deep structures, especially the platysma muscles, and tightening and removing excess skin. This is accomplished through a variety of incisions and surgical approaches. These various techniques are typically combined as needed to address the specific issues of the patient.

Anterior Approach Neck Lift

Many patients have a combination of excess fat and skin laxity. In a younger patient with better elasticity of the skin improvement may be accomplished through only an incision under the chin. With removal of this excess fat and tightening of the muscle the skin is allowed to redrape with an improvement of the overall contour. This is called an Anterior Approach Neck Lift.

Denver – Neck Lift or Facelift

The majority of patients however have more significant laxity of the overlying skin with poor elasticity and they require a more significant removal of skin. This a more classic Neck Lift and includes an incision in the scalp behind the ear and extending along the back of the ear and up the front of the lobule for varying lengths depending on how much skin needs to be removed.

This posterior approach is frequently combined with the anterior approach to optimize the result. When a neck lift is combined with a cheek lift this is the classic facelift.
