Thigh Buttock Lift Denver

Whether due to significant weight fluctuations or more simply due to the development of lax lower body and hip structures some patients develop significant laxity of the skin and soft tissues of the lateral and posterior thigh, generally associated with sagging buttocks. These patients see a significant improvement in the appearance of all of these areas with a procedure known as a thigh buttock lift. The procedure involves elevation and tightening of the buttock and lateral thigh tissues. It is frequently combined with lateral thigh liposuction. On occasion excess upper buttock tissues can be rotated into the lower central buttock area as a form of augmentation with the patients own natural tissue.

Total Thigh Lift

If more aggressive lifting of the thigh, including the skin of the medial thigh, is desired, the incision may be extended to the groin crease, simultaneously elevating the anterior and medial thigh along with lifting of the lateral and posterior tissues. This is typically referred to as a total thigh lift. Patients are frequently amazed to know that usually a width of up to, or even over one foot are generally removed to lift these structures. In weight loss patients this procedure may be performed at the same time as a smaller procedure, such as an arm reduction or a breast lift.

Denver Lower Body Lift

When a thigh buttock lift is combined with an abdominoplasty this is called a lower body lift. In this case the incision is circumferential and large volumes of redundant tissue can be removed. Inches and pounds are instantly lost.

Denver Thigh and Buttock Lift Recovery Times

Thigh Buttock procedures are major surgical procedures performed under general anesthesia. Recovery is significant with limited mobility for a few weeks. Patients are typically hospitalized or hosted at The Monarch Retreat for at least two days. Pain pumps with long lasting local anesthetic are used to speed mobilization and make patients more comfortable. These larger procedures are more demanding on the patient and assurances need to be made regarding the overall health of the patient sometimes requiring clearance by the patient’s primary care physician.

Even though a thigh buttock lift is a more involved, demanding procedure with a tougher recovery, Dr. Murphy’s patients have experienced a high degree of satisfaction with the results of the procedure and at times they have found it almost life changing. Be prepared for the added expense of a new wardrobe!
