VI Peel Procedure Denver

Superficial peels are painless and don’t require any recovery time, but they aren’t quite as effective and powerful as deeper peels. Choosing between the two can be difficult. But now, you don’t have to choose – the VI Peel procedure is the best of both worlds!

The VI Peel procedure is painless (aside from a minor stinging feeling at the start) and gentle enough to not call for downtime, but it’s still strong enough to get the job done. It’s powerful enough to reach deep and heal a variety of skin issues.

Improving Breast Augmentation with a lift

Published on by

Breast Aug with Lift

Breast augmentation is designed to add fullness and shape to a woman’s breasts. Sometimes, this is not enough to lift the breast into natural position. A breast lift is needed when the areola position is low and falls below the natural fold of the breast. If you desire to restore the firmness and shape of your breasts, then a breast lift may be right for you as well as augmentation. In general, a breast lift raises and firms the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour. Sometimes, the areola has become enlarged over time, a breast lift will reduce this as well.

Brachioplasty Recovery – Arm Lift Denver

Brachioplasty Recovery Denver

Brachioplasty recovery is one of the most important aspects of an arm lift. If you’re planning on getting an arm lift, you’ll need to pay close attention to your plastic surgeon’s care directions.

Once the brachioplasty operation is complete, the tissues in your upper arms will be temporarily weak and may have some swelling. Keeping this swelling at a minimum during brachioplasty recovery can be accomplished through making sure your arms are elevated. For the first three days following the surgery, always elevate those arms. This also aids in preserving the healthy flow of blood in these extremities.

If needed, use pillows to prop up your arms while resting. More brachioplasty recovery advice is available through your plastic surgeon. Dr. Terrence Murphy, a board-certified plastic surgeon, has the experience needed to help your through your healing period. Contact us today to set up a consultation.

Brachioplasty – Denver Arm Lift Procedure

Brachioplasty Denver

If your stubborn arm flab is bringing you down, stop dealing with useless exercise regimens that don’t actually make loose skin go away! Instead, try brachioplasty surgery, which will take care of that drooping skin and flab once and for all.

If your hanging upper arm skin contains fatty deposits, a cannula will be used to break up and suction out these tissues. This part of the procedure will aid in taking a lot of the volume out of the arm tissue. The plastic surgeon will then continue with the brachioplasty by excising the remaining loose skin and redraping the rest.

Learn more about the various aspects of brachioplasty with a trip to Dr. Terrence Murphy. A board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Murphy has the experience and skill needed to take your sagging arm skin away for good. Set up a consultation – contact us today.

Nipple position with Breast Reduction

Published on by

I just answered a very interesting question on Realself.com. It related to nipple position with breast reduction. Breast reduction is a very common procedure here at Murphy Plastic Surgery. We spend a lot of time talking about ultimate breast size with the procedure and on the day of surgery a lot of thought goes into selection of the nipple location as well as the size of the areola, or the flat part of the nipple. When marking the patient for a breast reduction the ultimate nipple location is paramount in our plan. The height of the nipple is best determined by the level of the fold beneath your breast. The medial lateral location depends more on your pre op location. Mid clavicular line can be helpful. In many cases we can move it more medial or lateral depending on your anatomy. A little food for thought if you are considering a breast reduction.

Stahl’s Ear – Otoplasty Pointed Ears Denver

Published on by

Stahl’s Ear Otoplasty

Stahl’s Ear is a condition in which the ear has additional unnecessary cartilage near its top, which distorts the upper rim. It can create a flat top instead of the usual fold, or it can create a point in the curve. If you’re experiencing this issue, look into otoplasty surgery.

When the patient’s ear cartilage is elastic enough, just using sutures during otoplasty can often be enough to correct Stahl’s Ear. This type of procedure is known as cartilage sparing. When the cartilage is too stiff, however, removal of tissue may be required. The method for this is called cartilage scoring.

To gain a better understanding of Stahl’s Ear and the various procedures involved with otoplasty, you can arrange a visit to Dr. Terrence Murphy, a board-certified plastic surgeon serving the Denver area. Contact our office today to set up your consultation.
