Various abnormalities of the skin can be treated by pulses of intense light. The wavelength of that light can be adjusted to treat specific abnormalities such as pigmented lesions, or red lesions including telangiectasias (dilated blood vessels), spider veins or angiomas.
Skin Rejuvenation
Our BBL (broad band light) machine is a very versatile machine and has proven very useful, safe and predictable in settling down areas of increased pigmentation/age spots, spider veins and redness of the face and neck, scars and acne. Penetration of the light waves into the dermis has been shown to rejuvenate the skin by increasing collagen and youthfulness. Frequently the BBL is combined with microdermabrasion as a treatment we call a Photofacial.
Recovery
BBL treatments are typically done in a series with either topical or no anesthesia. Recovery is easy with typically only minimal discoloration or bruising easily covered with make-up. The results are additive and over just a few weeks the beauty of your skin emerges.
